British Queen celebrates

Rabbi Jonathan Abraham, a London-based mohel, has been granted bail by Dublin Crown Court after being held in custody for three weeks on charges related to the

registration of a circumcision. The court has allowed him to return to the UK.

The 47-year-old Rabbi from Golders Green, who is registered with the Initiation Society in the UK, was charged earlier this month with performing a surgical procedure without being a registered medical practitioner. He had initially been denied bail in the District Court but was granted bail after a hearing at Dublin High Court on Tuesday, where his defense proposed conditions including a bond and independent sureties totaling €100,000.

Rabbi Abraham was reportedly arrested and charged for allegedly performing illegal circumcisions on non-Jewish children. During his time in custody at Cloverhill Prison in Dublin, he raised concerns about his human rights, specifically regarding the lack of kosher food. The prison's assistant governor, Paul O’Neill, stated that efforts were made to provide kosher meals "to the best of the kitchen’s ability" and clarified that there had been no attempt to mislabel non-kosher food.
