British Queen celebrates

An unexpected opinion poll has revealed a sharp decline in support for the Labour Party, bringing them just four points ahead of the Conservative Party.

The poll, conducted by More in Common, now puts Labour at 29%, compared to the Conservatives at 25%.

This is a significant drop from Labour’s previous standing, with the lost support seemingly shifting to the Liberal Democrats, Greens, and Reform UK. In June and July, More in Common's earlier poll had Labour at 40%, the Conservatives at 24%, Reform at 14%, the Liberal Democrats at 11%, and the Greens at 6%.

The latest full voting intention figures are as follows:

Labour: 29%

Conservatives: 25%

Reform: 18%

Liberal Democrats: 14%

Greens: 8%

Since the previous poll, Labour has seen a steep 11-point drop, while the Conservatives have risen by one point. Reform has gained four points, the Liberal Democrats are up three, and the Greens have increased by two points.
