British Queen celebrates

England has recorded an all-time high of over 150,000 children in temporary accommodation, according to figures released on Wednesday.

The new Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Housing, Angela Rayner described the situation as a "national embarrassment", warning that we are in the midst of “a serious housing crisis”.

As at March ending, there were 151,630 children living in temporary accommodation which includes people who live in hostels or bed and breakfasts.

These numbers released by Amnesty International UK, a human rights organization have been described as “astonishing.”

B&Bs should only be used as emergency accommodations for families up to six weeks under legislation.

However, councils have placed thousands of families with kids into B&Bs for longer stays.
