British Airways will recommence flights to Tel Aviv on April 1, incorporating a brief stopover in Cyprus. Utilizing its short-haul aircraft for the route for at least one month
will result in cost savings, offering flights four times a week. Previously, British Airways operated two daily flights to Ben Gurion.
"We've made the commercial decision to integrate Tel Aviv into our short-haul network upon resuming flights on April 1. This aligns these flights with other similar-length routes we operate, and we'll continue to evaluate this decision," stated a spokesperson.
Passengers with existing bookings for Tel Aviv flights will receive communication regarding options to rebook onto a new short-haul flight, seek a refund, or select an alternative service.
Kosher meal options will remain available for advance request before flights. British Airways noted that other European airlines also utilize short-haul aircraft for routes to Tel Aviv, alongside destinations like Cairo and Amman. Photo by Davidi Vardi, Wikimedia commons.
