Thames Water reported that thousands of residents and businesses in south-west London experienced water shortages and low water pressure due to a power supply
problem at its west London treatment plant. Several institutions, including schools and libraries, had to close due to insufficient water supply.
Thames Water stated that power had been restored to the treatment facility, and by Wednesday evening, most properties should have had their water supply restored. London Mayor Sadiq Khan expressed concerns and is seeking answers from Thames Water about the situation and measures to prevent its recurrence. Photo by Jim Linwood, Wikimedia commons.
