On July 27, 2023, the Imam Hussein Holy Shrine announced its plan to carry 20,000 copies of the front cover picture of the Holy Quran and a 120-meter-long Hussein banner during the Annual
Husseini March in London, set to be launched on the Tenth of Muharram.
According to Alaa Dia al-Deen, the Deputy Secretary-General of Imam Hussein Holy Shrine, the 20,000 copies of the Holy Quran's front page picture have arrived at Heathrow Airport in London. These copies will be distributed to the believers in the form of a necklace, allowing them to wear it during the Muharram March as a response to the recent incident of an Islamophobe burning the Holy Quran in Sweden.
The Husseini March will see people from different denominations, faiths, and nationalities coming together to commemorate the tragedy of the Master of Martyrs and to express their strong condemnation of any attempts to defile religious symbols. During the march, participants will also carry pictures of the holy tombs of Imam Hussein and Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas, which is expected to pique the interest of non-Muslim attendees, encouraging them to learn more about these revered figures.
