The Type 26 Frigate, HMS Glasgow, has been hit by an alleged sabotage incident after more than 60 cables were found to have been intentionally cut, according to an
investigation opened by BAE Systems. The company, which is a defence contractor, has temporarily halted work on the ship while it carries out the probe, which has yet to confirm a motive for the act.
The UK Defence Journal reported that disgruntled contractors may have caused the damage due to payment disputes. The incident has prompted the introduction of additional security measures to prevent future occurrences.
