Renowned US actor and comedian Bob Odenkirk, famous for his roles in "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul," recently uncovered a surprising familial link to British royalty while participating
in the latest season of "Finding Your Roots."
The 61-year-old actor expressed his astonishment upon learning that he is the 11th cousin of King Charles. In response to the revelation, Odenkirk exclaimed, "that is crazy."
According to exclusive clips obtained by Rolling Stone magazine, Odenkirk's ancestral connection to royalty traces back to his fifth great-grandfather, Friedrich Carl Steinholz. Steinholz, born out of wedlock to Maria Catharina and the Duke of Plon, established an unexpected link between Odenkirk and British royalty.
Reflecting on the revelation, Odenkirk shared his thoughts on the historical significance of monarchies and leadership passing down through generations. He acknowledged the societal foundations built around such systems but emphasized the progress made towards democracy. Odenkirk expressed his belief in continuing on the path of democracy, considering it a more evolved approach.
