Portugal's allure as a favored holiday destination for the ultra-rich is emphasized by two distinct Portuguese regions.

The first is the renowned Golden Triangle, an area located in the Algarve, where some of the country's most opulent properties are situated (including Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo, and Vilamoura). Additionally, Lisbon also claims its position, securing the 9th and 13th spots among the elite's preferences.

Visual Capitalist, drawing upon data from British consultancy Henley & Partners, reveals that there are currently more than 25,000 centi-millionaires globally. These individuals are categorized as ultra-rich, with assets exceeding $100 million (or 95 million euros).

At the top of the list of holiday destinations for the ultra-rich is Miami (USA), closely followed by The Hamptons and West Palm Beach, also located within the United States.

Remarkably, only seven European destinations make the cut among the 17 locales examined. Besides the two Portuguese regions, the other European destinations featured include Paris, Nice, Cannes, and Antibes in France, as well as Lugano in Switzerland. Photo by Lcaroco, Wikimedia commons.
