In a devastating incident, five individuals have lost their lives in a house fire in Channel Close, Hounslow, West London. The tragedy unfolded on Sunday evening, prompting a swift response

from the London Fire Brigade, deploying 10 fire engines and approximately 70 firefighters to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews discovered a terraced house engulfed in flames, with one man managing to exit the property before their arrival. He was subsequently taken to the hospital. Regrettably, one person remains unaccounted for. Firefighters, despite their courageous efforts, found the bodies of five individuals on the first floor of the residence.

The intensity of the blaze resulted in the destruction of the ground floor, first floor, and part of the roof. London Fire Commissioner Andy Roe expressed his condolences to the families affected by this tragic incident, stating, "This is a terribly sad incident, and the thoughts of all of us at London Fire Brigade are with the family, friends, and all those affected at this difficult time."

As the community grapples with the aftermath of this devastating event, support and advice will be extended by fire brigade staff in the local area. Commissioner Roe emphasized the importance of the welfare of the involved personnel, assuring that they would receive support from the counseling and trauma service.

The emergency response began at 22:30 GMT, and by 01:25 GMT, the fire was brought under control. Fire crews from various stations, including Heston, Southall, Twickenham, Hayes, and Feltham, collaborated in their efforts to address the blaze.
