British Queen celebrates

The first tickets for The Mayor of London’s spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks display will go on sale on Friday 3 November at midday.

The capital’s biggest night of the year will once again see more than 100,000 ticket-holders gather on the banks of the River Thames to welcome in the new year.

The world-renowned celebration, organised by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, will be televised to audiences across the globe and tickets are expected to sell out quickly.

Ticket-holders will once again unite opposite the lastminute.com London Eye for the fireworks and hear the traditional sounds of Big Ben’s chimes welcoming in the new year.

London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks will be a celebration like no other, showcasing the capital as a unique city for everyone. The event attracts visitors from around the world and it is important to book tickets early from the only authorised outlet, AXS. Tickets purchased anywhere else will not be valid. Official tickets cost £20 each – with every penny used to pay for the costs associated with delivering the event. There will also be an opportunity to donate to TAP London, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of homeless Londoners.

If you are unable to secure a ticket, Londoners and visitors to the capital can welcome in the new year in London’s fantastic range of bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs, or watch the display live on BBC One alongside more than 11m TV viewers.

City Hall is working closely with a range of partner agencies including the Met Police, TfL, local authorities and the emergency services, to deliver the event.

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “Celebrating the new year in the heart of our capital while watching our spectacular fireworks display on the banks of the River Thames is the best ticket in town.

“Millions around the world will see our capital's skyline illuminated by an extraordinary celebration of fireworks that will show London is for everyone.

“The only way to enjoy the fireworks in person is by buying a ticket in advance, so I urge anyone wanting to join us to book their ticket as early as possible so they can come and enjoy another wonderful show.”

Imran Tauqir, General Manager of the lastminute.com London Eye, said: “London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks are renowned as the world’s most iconic New Year’s Eve celebrations and we are delighted to once again partner with the Mayor of London to bring this incredible show back to the lastminute.com London Eye.

“The Eye has a long-established heritage as being the home of London’s New Year’s Eve fireworks and we can’t wait to again inspire visitors from around the world to visit our great capital.
