British Queen celebrates

Victoria Beckham has candidly discussed the challenging time in her marriage caused by David Beckham's highly-publicized alleged affair. The couple has consistently denied claims of infidelity

during David's time playing for Real Madrid in 2003.

In a new Netflix documentary titled "Beckham," released on Wednesday, Victoria Beckham shared her perspective on this difficult period, saying, "It was the hardest period for us because it felt like the world was against us."

She further admitted, "Here's the thing - we were against each other if I'm completely honest."

Although the documentary doesn't delve into the specifics of what transpired, Victoria emphasized the strain it placed on their relationship, especially when they relocated to Spain to be together.

She revealed, "You know, up until Madrid, sometimes it felt like us against everybody else. But we were together, we were connected, we had each other. But when we were in Spain, it didn't really feel like we had each other either. And that's sad."

Reflecting on the impact of those events on her, she added, "I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was and how it affected me."

Victoria also spoke about the intense press scrutiny they faced after joining David in Spain, describing it as a "nightmare," with paparazzi following their every move.

She recalled, "It was an absolute circus - it's really entertaining when the circus comes to town right? Unless you're in it."

When asked if she resented her husband at the time, she admitted, "If I'm being totally honest, yes I did. It was probably, if I'm being honest, the most unhappy I have ever been in my entire life."

David Beckham, who is now the owner of Inter Miami and a former England and Manchester United midfielder, also discussed how the media attention surrounding his alleged infidelity affected their marriage.

He shared, "There was some horrible stories that were difficult to deal with. It was the first time that me and Victoria had been put under that kind of pressure in our marriage."

Reflecting on that period, he noted, "I think we both felt at the time that we were, not losing each other, but drowning."

Despite the challenges they faced, the couple managed to overcome this difficult phase in their relationship.

The documentary tactfully addresses the topic of David's alleged affairs, focusing on various aspects of the couple's life while avoiding a detailed exploration of these controversies.
