British Queen celebrates

Britain's wealthiest plumber, Charlie Mullins, has listed his £12 million London penthouse for sale as he plans to leave the UK to avoid potential tax increases under a

Labour government. Mullins, who founded Pimlico Plumbers and sold the company for £145 million in 2021, stated his intention to divest all UK assets and avoid paying taxes in the future.

The 71-year-old moved into the luxurious property, which offers stunning views of the River Thames and MI6 headquarters, in 2021. However, concerns over a potential rise in inheritance taxes under the Labour Party’s leadership prompted Mullins to put the penthouse back on the market. He voiced worries that his family would "go mad" if they had to deal with high taxes on the property.

Mullins is critical of Labour’s tax plans, particularly those proposed by Chancellor Rachel Reeves, which could affect wealthy individuals. As a result, he is shifting his investments to properties in Spain and Dubai.

The penthouse, located in a prime London area, boasts 3,500 square feet of living space, complete with terraces offering 360-degree views of the city, including iconic landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Cathedral. The property is filled with Mullins’ personal memorabilia, including Chinese vases and signed photos of Muhammad Ali and Michael Jackson.

In addition to selling his penthouse, Mullins has plans to launch a new business, WeFix, although he has hinted that he may relocate it abroad depending on the outcome of the next UK election. If Labour’s policies prove too unfavorable, he has suggested he may move to Dubai.

Henley & Partners, a firm that helps wealthy individuals relocate, estimates the UK could lose a record 9,500 millionaires by the end of this year due to concerns over increased taxes, with Dubai, Switzerland, and Portugal being among the most popular destinations for those leaving.
