A man from the UK, identified only as 36-year-old Mark C, died after consuming 22 shots in just 90 minutes at a strip club in Poland, according to local authorities. The incident occurred at the
Wild Nights club in Krakow, where Mark was on a night out with a friend. Although he was already intoxicated, staff members repeatedly offered him drinks, which he initially refused. However, he eventually consumed 22 powerful shots before collapsing and later dying. The National Prosecutor's Office of Poland revealed that Mark had a blood alcohol content of at least 0.4%, which is considered lethal. Authorities also stated that he was robbed of the equivalent of £420 while unconscious.
Last week, police charged 58 people with being part of an organised crime group after conducting a series of raids on nightclubs. According to the Polish Central Police Investigation Bureau (CBSP), the clubs operated a racket in which they would intoxicate customers and steal their money. The agency released a video showing suspects being arrested and various items, including electronic devices, computers, cash, and phones, being seized from the venues. Among those arrested were the individuals responsible for forcing Mark to consume the lethal amount of alcohol. The investigation, which encompasses clubs in Krakow and the capital city of Warsaw, is ongoing. Photo by Dktue, Wikimedia commons.
