being cancelled for the past two years due to bad weather and the Covid-19 pandemic.

Organizers have revealed that the timing of the event will depend on the weather conditions. The first two possible dates for the regatta are 14 and 21 May. A third stand-by date of 2 July has also been agreed upon. As such, the event will take place on the first possible date that the weather permits.

The last time the regatta was held was in 2019 when 46 hot air balloons took off from Battersea Park at 05:30 BST.
