British Queen celebrates


Theresa May, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has announced her decision to step down as the Member of Parliament for Maidenhead at the upcoming general election,

concluding a 27-year tenure in Parliament.

In a statement provided to the Maidenhead Advertiser, Mrs. May expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to serve her constituents, highlighting her commitment to addressing issues close to her heart, such as her work on the Global Commission on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.

Reflecting on her time in office, Mrs. May emphasized the importance of serving the needs of local residents and communities, stating, "Being an MP is about service to one’s constituents, and I have always done my best to ensure that I respond to the needs of local people and the local area."
