British Queen celebrates

In a recent announcement, Glastonbury Festival has revealed that ticket prices for its 2024 edition will be set at £360. This marks a £20 increase compared to this year's event, which cost

£335 plus a £5 booking fee. Furthermore, it represents a substantial £75 hike from the ticket price in 2022.

For those eager to secure their spot at the iconic festival, ticket and coach travel packages will be available for purchase on November 2nd, while standard tickets will go on sale on November 5th. The standard ticket price for festival-goers is £355, with an additional £5 booking fee. A deposit of £75 will be required, and the remaining balance must be settled by the first week of April.

It's important to note that these standard tickets do not include any extra perks such as glamping accommodations, which must be purchased separately once tickets are secured. Emily Eavis, one of Glastonbury's co-organizers, shared this pricing update on social media and emphasized that prospective attendees must register on the festival's website in advance.

To be eligible to purchase a ticket, members of the public are required to register on the Glastonbury website by 17:00 GMT on October 30th.

While some other major UK festivals have already unveiled their standard ticket prices for the upcoming year, all of them come in at a lower cost than Glastonbury:

Wireless: £259.25 (plus £3.25 booking fee)

Isle of Wight: £190 (plus £19 booking fee)

Despite these price comparisons, Glastonbury remains the largest and most prominent festival in the UK, sprawling across the expansive 900-acre grounds of Worthy Farm in Somerset. Last year's event drew a crowd of approximately 200,000 attendees, with an astonishing 21.6 million viewers tuning in to watch TV coverage on the BBC.

The festival boasted a star-studded lineup featuring headliners like Arctic Monkeys, Guns N' Roses, and Sir Elton John, all gracing the iconic Pyramid Stage. Notable acts such as Queens of the Stone Age and rapper Skepta also graced the stages, alongside a diverse array of entertainment including film screenings, political speeches, circus performances, and theater acts.

Despite incremental price increases over the years, including a £70 bump from 2019 to 2023, tickets for the 2023 Glastonbury event sold out within a remarkable 61 minutes.
