Workers at Amazon's latest distribution center in Birmingham, England, have decided to join the ongoing strike against the company's payment policies and working conditions, as revealed

by the GMB trade union on Tuesday.

Approximately 100 employees from the warehouse are set to partake in the strike scheduled for January 25th, announced the GMB, which has yet to receive formal acknowledgment from the U.S. e-commerce giant.

Amazon has not provided an immediate response to Reuters' inquiry.

In the preceding year, numerous employees had participated in strikes at a different Amazon warehouse located in Coventry, central England. The company previously mentioned that the industrial action during November's Black Friday at the Coventry site did not significantly disrupt operations, despite hundreds of workers joining the strike.
