Prince Harry's official His Royal Highness (HRH) title has been quietly removed from his profile on the Royal Family's website. The alteration was made in accordance with the 2020 Megxit
agreement, which stipulated that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could retain their HRH titles but were prohibited from using them after stepping down as senior members of the royal family.
Despite this agreement, certain sections of the royal website had inadvertently referred to Prince Harry as HRH over the past three years. However, as of Friday, all mentions of the HRH title on his profile page have been eradicated.
Buckingham Palace, in a statement from January 18, 2020, announced that "The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family."
Several other inaccuracies on the website have also been rectified, including one instance where Prince Harry, 38, was mistakenly referred to as five-year-old Prince Louis.
In a similar vein, Meghan Markle's official royal biography underwent changes three years ago, eliminating her HRH title. However, remnants of the title persisted on certain sections of the website, notably within a quote from a 2019 speech.
While Prince Harry's HRH title has been removed from his official biography, the rest of the royal family's biographies remain unchanged.
Furthermore, a recent appearance of Prince Harry's full title, "HRH The Prince Henry Charles Albert David," in court documents has raised eyebrows. This use of the title he still holds but is not allowed to employ in practice has been defended as conventionally applicable in legal documents.
During his recent visit to Japan, Prince Harry's presence at Tokyo's Haneda Airport was marked by his beaming demeanor. He was not accompanied by Meghan Markle during the trip.
Prince Harry will partake in the ISPS (International Sports Promotion Society) Sports Values Summit in Tokyo, engaging in discussions centered around sports values and their impact. This event will also involve other prominent figures, including former New Zealand rugby player Dan Carter and Invictus Games gold medallist Steve James.
