British Queen celebrates

EasyJet has made the decision to suspend all flights from the UK to Israel for more than six months in response to heightened tensions in the Middle East following the recent Iranian attack.

Flights to Tel Aviv will remain closed until October 27th, with affected customers being offered refunds for their bookings.

The airline's move comes in alignment with guidance from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), which advises against travel to certain parts of Israel, including areas near the northern border, the West Bank, and regions close to Gaza. Additionally, non-essential travel to the rest of Israel is also discouraged by the FCDO.

A spokesperson for easyJet stated, "Due to the ongoing situation in Israel, easyJet has decided to suspend flights to Tel Aviv for the remainder of the summer season until October 27th." Customers with bookings up to this date have been provided with various options, including full refunds.

Initially, EasyJet had suspended flights until April 21st following Iran's attack, but the decision has now been extended to cover the entire summer season and the subsequent six months. Similarly, Wizz Air also cancelled flights to Israel and stated that schedule changes may occur when flights resume.

Several other airlines, including Air Canada, Delta, Iberia, and Lufthansa, suspended flights to Tel Aviv on Sunday and Monday due to escalating tensions in the region.

In contrast, Ryanair is set to resume flights between Israel and various European destinations, including Italy, Malta, Hungary, and Cyprus, starting on June 2nd. This decision follows the reopening of Terminal 1 at Ben-Gurion Airport in June, which offers lower passenger fees compared to Terminal 3.
