French police have conducted a search at the home of Hiromi Rollin, a former close companion of renowned 87-year-old film star Alain Delon. The search comes after formal complaints were

filed by Delon's three children against Ms. Rollin, accusing her of "moral harassment" of their father.

The children claim that Ms. Rollin used her influence to isolate their father and make him dependent on her. They also allege that she controlled his correspondence, spread false information about them, and mistreated Delon's beloved dog, Louba, even forcing him to put the dog in kennels.

The incident has garnered significant media attention due to Delon's iconic status as one of France's legendary cinema figures. Known for his heart-throb looks and tough-guy screen persona, Delon starred in numerous hits in the 1960s, including "The Leopard" and "Rocco and His Brothers."

In recent years, Delon's film appearances became rarer, but he remained a prominent figure in the celebrity world. In 2019, he was honored with an honorary Palme d'Or at the Cannes festival, where he delivered an emotional speech that seemed to mark his farewell to cinema. The same year, he suffered a stroke, and since then, Hiromi Rollin had been caring for him at his country house near Paris.

Following a confrontation with Delon's children in early July, Rollin moved out of the house. Anthony Delon, also an actor and one of Delon's children, stated that he became suspicious when Rollin failed to inform the family immediately after his father's fall in late 2021.

Anthony described Rollin as his father's "dame de compagnie" (lady companion), implying a contractual relationship. However, Rollin considers herself Delon's "compagne" (partner).

In response to the family's allegations, Rollin's lawyer issued a 39-page statement denying the accusations. He emphasized that she had been providing daily care for Delon since his stroke and had not been paid for her companionship. He also raised concerns about the children's motives, suggesting they might be seeking financial gain through their claims against Rollin. Photo by Georges Biard, Wikimedia commons.
