British Queen celebrates

Chinese Vice President Han Zheng met with Nicholas Lyons, Lord Mayor of the City of London, in Beijing on Thursday to discuss the economic and trade ties between China and Britain.

Han emphasized the strong momentum and immense potential of the bilateral relationship, particularly in the financial sector.

Han acknowledged London as one of the world's most internationalized financial hubs and praised the City of London as a renowned financial center. He highlighted China's commitment to expanding its high-level opening-up, including in the financial industry, and expressed China's willingness to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with the British financial community. The goal is to promote sustained and healthy development in bilateral economic and trade relations.

Lyons acknowledged China's remarkable achievements in economic and social development and emphasized the broad common interests shared by Britain and China. He expressed optimism about the prospects for financial cooperation between the two countries. The City of London is eager to enhance collaboration with the Chinese government, enterprises, and financial institutions to achieve mutually beneficial development.
