British Queen celebrates

In a move marking the two-year anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Britain has announced a significant financial commitment to bolster Ukraine's artillery

ammunition reserves. The UK's Defence Ministry revealed a £245 million (approximately $417 million) allocation over the coming year to address the acute shortages faced by Ukraine in its ongoing battle against Russian forces.

Ukraine's urgent need for military support has prompted appeals to Western nations for assistance. The United States, Ukraine's largest donor, is awaiting a congressional vote to determine the extent of its further aid. Grant Shapps, the British Defence Minister, emphasized the importance of international backing for Ukraine's efforts, stating that victory depends on continued support from the global community.

Since February 2022, Britain has pledged over £7 billion in military aid to Ukraine, demonstrating a sustained commitment to bolstering Ukraine's defense capabilities. The United States, under President Joe Biden's administration, has allocated approximately US$44 billion in security assistance to Ukraine and is awaiting approval for an additional US$60 billion.

Germany, the second-largest contributor to Ukraine's military aid, has provided and committed to around €28 billion in assistance. Additionally, the European Union has pledged approximately €6 billion through the European Peace Facility to support Ukraine's defense efforts.

Several individual Western countries, including Canada, have also pledged military aid to Ukraine, with Canada committing US$2.4 billion since February 2022.
