British Queen celebrates

 

A suspected hit-and-run incident resulted in the tragic death of a woman and two dogs, leading to the arrest of a man in connection with the case.

Marie Theobald, 48, was walking her two beloved dogs, Riley and Honey, on Manford Way in Chigwell, Essex, when a car, believed to be a white Seat Leon, struck them. Emergency services, including police officers and the London Ambulance Service, responded to the scene following the incident reported at 17:09 GMT on Friday.

Regrettably, Marie Theobald and her dogs were pronounced deceased at the site of the collision. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, but the suspected vehicle was later found nearby by the Metropolitan Police.

A man was subsequently apprehended in connection with the crash and is currently in police custody.

The family of Marie Theobald expressed their deep sorrow, remembering her as a caring mother, partner, daughter, sister, niece, and friend. They described her as a selfless, hardworking individual who always prioritized others before herself. The statement also paid tribute to Riley and Honey, cherished members of the family, expressing how deeply they were loved and adored by Marie.
